The balance
The balance
Too little prep leaves chips, ridges, and tired edges. Too much aggressive sanding can flatten the detail that made the trim worth keeping.
Interiors
Older trim gives a room its rhythm. The goal is not to erase every sign of age. The goal is to clean the lines, repair what needs repair, and leave the room feeling cared for rather than plastic.

The balance
Too little prep leaves chips, ridges, and tired edges. Too much aggressive sanding can flatten the detail that made the trim worth keeping.
Sheen and color matter
A slightly different sheen can change how trim reads against plaster walls. Warm whites, deep navy, sage, and muted red all behave differently in older rooms.
What we look for
Open joints, old drips, brittle caulk, glossy buildup, water marks, and areas where previous coats were rushed.
